For parents

Twin Terms is a reasoning game for children about 6 to 10. You pick it. They play it.

What children do

Each round is short. They pair words that belong together, tap the picture that does not fit, follow a simple picture pattern, and finish an analogy such as “a bird is to a nest as a fish is to a pond.” Later rounds mix those ideas.

The thinking

The rounds ask for association, classification, pattern finding, and analogy. A new kind of round starts with an obvious example and a tap cue, then the choices get a little closer. There is no score of ability on the play screen.

How it grows

The first boards are one obvious pair. Later boards add words, then picture rounds. After the first twenty, the game keeps going: more choices, nearer wrong answers, and combinations of the earlier ideas. Everyone shares the same daily board for a UTC date. A refresh does not change it. The numbered levels after twenty are a separate generated path.

Why it might suit a child

It is a few quiet minutes, with a cat to uncover, and no account to make. There are no ads. Progress stays in the browser. It is not a course, and it does not promise school results.
